Meridian Idaho Town Hall Meeting

Meridian, ID - (January 11, 2010) - The City of Meridian will hold a Town Hall meeting on Wednesday, January 13, 2010, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., at Heritage Middle School (4990 N. Meridian Road). The meeting's format is designed to allow attendees to discuss community issues and ask questions of their city leaders. Members of the Meridian City Council, Mayor Tammy de Weerd, and department directors will be on hand to answer questions in this unique unscripted format.

Holding several Town Hall meetings each year, the City is providing access to city government and its leaders in a way that is more convenient for many citizens.

Mayor Tammy de Weerd explains, "We began these Town Hall meetings to allow residents to engage their City government in a casual meeting format focused on specific topics of interest. Citizens can get answers to their questions without going to a City Council meeting or waiting for a particular agenda item to be discussed. This allows a free exchange of timely information which is beneficial to everyone."

For more information about the Town Hall meeting, contact Luke Cavener with the City of Meridian at 489-0535.
